My name is Philip Karl Pelkey. I am ten-years-old and I live in Golden,
Colorado.
These days, I try to keep my family and friends informed about what
I'm up to by keeping a regular diary on the internet.
September, 2004 - Take a look at the diary from my recent trip to Spain with my dad. OTHER STUFF ![]()
(My dad hates the word "Blog," so maybe I'll avoid using that.)
You can keep in touch by sending me an e-mail Philip@Pelkey.com or by signing my Guest Book
- December, 2004 - My friend Beau and I made the newspaper! (We're about halfway into the article.)
- October 23, 2004 - Early Saturday morning, dad and I headed down to Pueblo, for a speech by John Kerry. He was there with his daughter and Ken Salazar, the Democrat running for the U.S. Senate here in Colorado.

The crowds by the old train depot in Pueblo were huge.![]()
Outside, a small group of Republicans were protesting.
One guy was holding a sign that said, "USA ALL THE WAY."
I went to talk to him, because I like the U.S., but I don't like
George Bush. Apparently - at least according to
what this guy told me - if you don't vote
Republican this time, you are un-American.![]()
Some other guy (above left) actually called me a "communist,"
the only response he had when I asked his
buddy about the sign.
The guy also didn't seem to get the joke when
the "Billionaires for Bush" showed up.![]()
Kerry's speech was great. He talked about domestic
and international status. Every time he finished a sentence,
the crowd would yell, "Kerry! Kerry! Kerry!"Afterwards, when we got back to Golden, we went to the court house to vote early. It was great!
